Goby Virus Causing Decline in St Lawrence River Muskie
St. Lawrence River Muskie were hit hard by a virus that killed many of the large breeders in the mid-2000’s. Dr John Farrell and PhD candidate Anna Conklyn from the Thousand Islands Biological Station are part of a scientific research initiative that is exploring the link between Round Gobies and the spread of yet another virus that is impacting Muskie in areas of the St. Lawrence River yet again.
